Trans Resources
Intro
Femme-cat is a set of services run by a trans woman and stands for trans liberation for all. Control of our healthcare, bodies, and lives is necessary for our survival and happiness. In this spirit, femme-cat provides resource links and downloads to aid other trans people in their transition, care, and questions. This list of resources will be updated as needed, or more information is acquired. Please feel free to send any other useful resources to sjk@femme.cat for inclusion in this list.

Notes:
WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) publishes the general medical global treatment standards for all trans people. WPATH guidelines have been highly conservative in the past, but are improving. ↩︎
Reddit subs can be very mercurial and capricious in their temperament and moderation. Read and understand subreddit rules before posting. Additionally, reddit provides subreddit content (including comments and posts) to several AI companies for direct ingestion and training data. Do not rely on privacy or anonymity within reddit. ↩︎
Matrix is a globally federated end-to-end encrypted chat system. Matrix operators may host rooms or spaces for specific or general topics. While fairly recent, it remains the sole federated, independent, chat application focused on security and privacy. ↩︎
The Fediverse is a distributed social media platform made of of individual instances. Many instances are owned or run by trans and queer people. While instances share posts and comments among one another, they are very much local communities. Always read the instance rules and requirements before joining, and keep in mind it is not uncommon for people to move instances once or twice before finding a comfortable home. Note: for safety reasons, many queer instances require you ask for an account; rather than haven ‘open enrolment’ - do not fear this! ↩︎
